Hiring your caregiver & Work Agreement

Now that you are at step eight you can breathe a sigh of relief. You have found the ideal caregiver for your loved one. All you need do now is inform the caregiver and draw up a working contract.
This contract should detail the responsibilities of the job, compensation and benefits, the hourly rate of pay, overtime rates, sick leave, holiday time and any other issues that are important to you

You can invite your caregiver once again to the home of your relative to discuss and sign the contract. It is also a great opportunity to give the caregiver an orientation; where things are kept, the alarm code, a set of keys etc.
